A sensational location directly on the Main River, idyllic, with excellent rooms, great and friendly service, and a plentiful and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended for cyclists, too; bikes are stored dry and protected in the garage.

On our bike tour down the Main River from Bayreuth to Mainz on May 20, 2025, we arrived at the beer garden around lunchtime, feeling quite hungry. The place was busy, but there were still plenty of bike parking spaces for our bikes and the dog trailer. What I really appreciated was that the bikes were always well-kept in sight. This meant we didn't have to carry all our luggage. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, even though they were a little understaffed for the number of people. Ordering was quick, and the Franconian food was, in my opinion, very good and served very promptly. Everything I tried, both food and drinks, was excellent and beautifully presented. For me, the price-performance ratio was just right. There were also a variety of payment options. I found the ambiance very charming, as I'm more of a traditionalist and retro enthusiast, especially with all the enamel signs. This is exactly how a beer garden should look. Plus, you can see the ferry without having to check the timetable. I can only recommend that every cyclist on the tour stop here and refuel for the next leg of the journey.

A superb beer garden, with a fantastic location right next to the bike path and the Main River. It's self-service, and we were greeted warmly and very friendly by a young man at the bar. It felt like we were visiting friends and everyone already knew each other. We ordered two perfectly chilled glasses of Scheurebe and enjoyed the beautiful view. The Scheurebe was so good that we took a carton home with us. With such friendly staff and this lovely beer garden, we'll be back very soon.

The beer garden was lovely, situated right on the Main River. The pretzels were delicious, and the wine was very tasty in autumn 2025. We booked the rooms 23 years ago. Very modern, good breakfast. Friendly owners.
